Our voices have power. We use our voices to share stories, express ourselves, and spark change. Our voices include not only the sounds we make, but the words we write, the art we create, the movements we perform, and the actions we take each day to impact our world. The 2023 Summer Reading Program theme is “Find Your Voice.” Library patrons young and old are encouraged to find your voice within and share it with others!
Get ready, get set, and sign up for this year’s summer reading program! Participants can win prizes for reaching their reading goals. In addition to reading great books, library patrons can participate in exciting programs. During June and July, we will host a range of free in person and virtual activities for children, teens, and adults to encourage and support a love of reading.
This summer communication is the name of the game! Join us at the Garmisch Library for the DoD Summer Reading Program "Find Your Voice!" We will explore our voices by discovering different forms of expression through sound and the written word. Our Summer Reading Program will start June 1 and runs through July 31. To join in the fun, log your minutes on www.garmischlibrary.beanstack.org or come into the library to grab your paper minute log. We will meet each Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. for Storytime and 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. for Summer Reading programming. You may pick-up your Summer Reading Program prizes starting June 14.

How It Works:
The Summer Reading Program encourages children, teens, and adults to read for pleasure and learning throughout the summer. Participants log their minutes online at garmischlibrary.beanstack.org and receive virtual badges for achieving reading milestones. Some badges also have a prize attached to them.
When prizes are awarded, the participant will receive a message on the webpage as well as an email. Prizes can be picked up at the library when the prize is earned and while supplies last. The library reserves the right to substitute prizes if the original prize is no longer available.
To start logging your reading minutes, create a summer reading account at garmischlibrary.beanstack.org or the Beanstack Tracker app in your App Store. Adults and teens can register and earn prizes too.
